I moved the engine to the center of the boat, and looking at the old motor, I guess I never got that one centered ever. If you look at the knot on the back wall, you can see the difference of size in the engines.

New mounts arrived same time as resin. Mounted engine with 8 11/16" distance between clutch and torque converter, and ordered new belt from BMI. Resined new tansom to seal it and all other exposed wood. Hooked motor up to battery and conducted a successful test run.

Yea, my new engine arrived! Kohler Command Pro CH1000 40hp motor. This was the biggest I couild find that did not require being water cooled, or switching to deisel. Got it from OPE engines.com.
